Today is the day I finally got my acoustic guitar. This is a moment that will go down in history..well at least for me. I honestly don't know where to begin. I'm going to start taking lessons in March, after I turn in my clinical nutrition project. By the way, it's a classical guitar.

glad to hear you finally have an instrument to practice with...
don't forget if you ever have any questions i'll try and help you. ^^
Classical, eh? Like a nylon stringed one? If you can I highly recommend you buy nylon strings for your guitar (some steel stringed ones can't take nylon strings and it'll ruin the body if you put them on). Your fingers will be thanking me when they start working that fretboard. *Drum roll please* 742991

As for me, I finally got my hands on a clarinet. It's my friend's and I'm borrowing hers until my audition for TSU's school of music. I really hope I can get back into my clarinet groove. I used to be first chair in high school, but it's been almost two years since I've played and I have to play a class one (hardest class) solo excerpt....>.<

    i understand your pain....>.<
But lucky for me i started learning on a nylon string classical guitar and it was so easy and i became spoiled.
thereafter, i tried a steel string one and i was in such pain. my friends were like, "what? don't you play guitar?" and i kept complaining about the strings. Steel strings leave your fingers so calloused at first. Nylon ones did, too, to me, but not nearly as bad as those evil steel strings.

Yeah you have to give it a few months of constant practice before your fingers don't hurt quite as much(I got my first acoustic when I was ten it was steel stringed) Lets just say it hurt like a *******, after my first two hour lesson. But congratulations stan I hope that you enjoy it as much as I used to.
