It was a good book. Not the best one that you'll read in high school but its one of them. The ending is kind of a shocker but after that one moment of shock it got pretty boring. I enjoyed it and finished it in one day, and considering that it was made in 1960 it got put a lot of deep thought into racism and used hypocritical people (mainly racist) really well in the book.

It was a nice book, but not one of the best on my list (even though my list is short...really short).
Like Kayui said, the ending was a twist. A "I never thought something like that would've happened" type.

I read it this year because I failed 1st semester of 9th grade lit. It was the first time I read that book and if you don't like it then you have no taste in classic litature. =P

Well I do not want to spoil it for anyone but it a lot of things happened you just had to think about the deeper meanings of the things happening. It wasn't that nothing was happening you just had to think about the small things said and how they tied into the real world.
