Watched AKIRA on teletoon tonight and I must say it was pretty good, there were a few parts where the story was a little tricky to follow, but other than that it was pretty good. The animation was pretty good, reminded me of the ghost in the shell movie animation. I know kayui has seen it before but what about everyone else?

I started watching it on Veoh.com, but I never got to finish it. But I could tell it was really good from what I watched.

I just love older anime. The animation and storylines are completely different as compared with new-age.
This was one of my first anime movies to watch...along with X and Blood: The Last Vampire. All three of these movies are superb.

Yeah I love the older animation style, i remember X it was pretty good too, no I really enjoyed akira how it began really threw me off, tokyo 1988 just gets completely obliterated, I was like WTF! then the biker gang fight I was like hmm, this is intreging.

From what I saw, the biker gang fight was the best. My only regret was that I saw it dubbed...

What was wrong with the dubbed Stan? The dubbed was well done especially from coming ou tin 1986 I believe. Overall I think the animation was the biggest catch for this. If you compare Akira to almost any other anime today Akira and beat in in looks. The artwork was done so well I loved it. The fight with Tetsou was amazing. Picture your light gun just ran out of juice and you are fighting your best friend who has super human powers. I have seen Akira so many times it basically got me into anime.
