so since Kyouri has stated her love for vampire movies let's talk about our favorites.
I'm sure some believe it's at the point of overration, but I love Interview with the Vampire. I have fallen in love with all of Rice's characters. She is able to write their personalities so efficiently, you just seem to bond with them through her words.
This movie did an excellent job of taking the characters as I imagined them. (I could say less of Queen of the Damned. Good story, but the movie lacked....something) This is one film where I forgot who the mainstream actors were and saw only Louis, Lestat and Claudia. They all did an excellent job. Brad Pitt also made the sexiest angst-ridden vampire in the world. :hypnotic:

It has been too long since I've seen Interview....I also love Blade. Wesley Snipes rocks in that movie!

I watched Interview with a Vampire so many times that I had to replace my DVD. I so agree with *TsuBasa* that Brad Pitt was it in that movie. But Tom Cruise did a great job in his role, and it was something far removed from his other roles.

I liked Queen of the Damned, but also agree that it wasn't up to par with Interview.

I used to own all the Blade movies, until some moron took all my movies to the pawn shop.. <_< Wesley Snipes was good in those movies, as with most movies he's in, but the movies, while not up to the caliber of the aforementioned flicks, were still must owns in my opinion.

I bought a vampire series, but only got the opportunity to view it once before it fell into the hands of a pawn shop goer, as well. I wish I could remember the name of the series, because it was excellent!!! It gave an entirely different view of the world of vampires than you see in most movies.

Vampire Journals is one that I highly recommend anyone to pass up.. it totally sucks!!! Not sure why I still have it in my library.. *shudders*

Other vampiric movies of mine are the two Underworld's and Ultraviolet. Those are so-so, in my opinion, and don't even match up with Hellsing, which was also lifted from the scene. *starting to feel enraged all over again* But the graphics were pretty cool in all 3 of them.

Hellsing.. really, what needs to be said? This is an ultimate must have for all lovers of anime and vampires, alike.

I can't say that I'm too disappointed that my movie Van Helsing was pawned off, for it was, to me, in the same category of that of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. ~I've seen it, now let's move on.~

Those are not all that I've seen or owned, but enough to carry on a conversation.

    *Edit:
I've also seen Vampire 2000, and the other ones that came out around that time.. *needs to take an introverted look into why these sorts of movies are intriguing*

agreed the Blade movies are fun to watch. Hellsing is also a must.
Let's see...what's on my shelf? Oh, Blood: The Last Vampire is another must for anime/vampire fans! vampire Flicks ~_^ 742991
Forgot to mention the classic Dracula. Although the acting was kind of a far-shot (at least as keanu reeves and winona rider are concerned annoyed) this is still a cult classic. I though Van Helsing was acceptable. But then I saw it as just a fun, kill-time movie. I've owned it since it came out and i've probably watched it maybe 3 times.

Well, I saw 30 Days of Night and that was a great movie. Josh Hartnett made an awesome vampire. The one thing I didn't like from that movie was how the vampires seemed so barbaric. It was like all they had going for them was strength, virtually no strategy whatsoever.
I'm know there's others I've seen as well that I can't think of right now.....
