It's been awhile since we had our movie nights, and you probably thought I forgot all about it. Well, we had troubles with uploading certain media due to copyright issues, which ended up getting the video or the entire account removed, the videos weren't being converted in less than forever, and Veoh went and started their 5 minute previews which required everyone to download their tv. It seems that the conversion issue has been resolved with MegaVideo, and since MegaVideo allows private accounts, we all now have a way to upload our favorite flicks to share with the rest of the members.

Starting this weekend, movie night will resume! The leader of each team will be responsible for obtaining a video, be it a hollywood flick or anime, uploading it to their own private MegaVideo account (free), and then posting that video, with the proper title, in the Movie and Ova sub-category. That doesn't mean that only the leaders can upload, only that they must either do it or have someone on their team do it. The leader will then be responsible to post the embed code in the forum.

Once the movie is decided, at least two days prior to movie night, the team leader will post a thread in the Scheduled Events forum regarding the chosen movie for the week.

The teams will work on a rotating schedule, with Toukai no Kage being responsible for movie night this coming weekend. After that, we'll simply go in alphabetical order, meaning that Yume no Eimin will be responsible for the following weekend, Meteor Ops the week after that, and so on. For those teams that currently have only one member in them, we will work out a plan so that you aren't solely responsible if you are unable to obtain a movie for your respective week.

So start preparing to indulge in tubs of popcorn, sheets of chocolate, and the highest caffeinated soda you can find, and enjoy spending time socializing with everyone as we all relax on movie night.

Awesome, well speaking of veoh, someone reported one of my videos 5 months after its upload. So if megavideo can convert once more I shall switch back to that.

Woohoo! Although last time I tried to upload a movie it ended in a nuclear holocaust....and seeing as how I'm the only one on my respective team, well you can see where I'm going here. I tried to upload Fight Club, which I have. I put the DVD in my laptop and copied the files to my comp. Unfortunately, it ended up being split into several different files, and I couldn't find out which one had the actual movie in it's entirety...

Is megavideo free to join?? I have an arson of movies LOL around 200

Yep it's free, which is why we're using it.

Yep I just registered, and is there a limit to how big or how many movies you can upload?

That I do not know...but I doubt you'll be uploading a 6 hour long epic tale of whatever.

Yay movie nights again and I hadn't been to one yet but I want to go to one so I will sticky note myself to remind me (hmmm now to find a member for my team that has an account but I do have a movie in mind)
