I agree, Kage. I haven't read the books yet, but from what I've seen Blackmamba and *TsuBasa* say, I'm going to, but only after I've seen the movie. I don't want to be disappointed in case the movie doesn't live up to the book. But so far, the trailers look very interesting!

    Twilight Empty I hate it

I hate twilight. I read 10 pages of the book, and it was the worst book I ever read. no offense to those who like the series, I just don't like, and think it is a waste of time to read it. so the movie is going to be a very bad one at the least. so don't waste your time with this on, as I see many other vampire books availible in the imidiate future

lol.. that's the first time I've seen a bad review of Twilight. o.O But I have to admit, I'm a fan of vampire genres, so I'm going to at least give the movie a try... even if it is mainly about forbidden love over blood and gore. Twilight 693126

Forbidden love, Kyo? That's where you can tell that the book was geared towards a more feminine audience haha...but if the movie is good enough, I might go see it.

I soooo love the book.. But I "might" (unless my sister talk me to it and/or treat me to it!) not watch the movie.. Books turn into movies does not even give the slighest justice to the book, so why watch it.. Twilight 449690
Just my opinion though.. Twilight 245150

Hey guys!!! I've missed everyone! >o<

Anyway, I'm gonna go see it--of course.
I am very very anxious. I know there will be a million things that will play out completely differently than they did in my head---where I loved them. ^^

and I can totally respect ur p.o.v Lrules....
to be honest, I think Meyer wrote the Twilight series in a really elementary way. However, I believe the story that she creates more than makes up for the writing style (as well as the hundreds of typos in all the books! >.< ) She is an amazing storyteller, and we must all keep in mind this series was written for teens-young adults. And Bella is indeed a young naive teen who still has that naive way of speaking every now and then--though she is portrayed as mentally aged. LOL

This may stray off a tad, but I highly recommend everyone else to give The Host a try as well. It is a completely different story and I think Stephenie Meyer's real writing talent proved itself with this one. Her site says The Host was a novel written for adults. *shrug* I don't see as much a difference except for a few minor things (won't spoil anything). But you can also see a difference in the maturity of her writing style.

Anyway, I've rambled, but I've missed chatting with u guys!

Who here is going to try and make the opening? I'm not going to be able to, and actually won't be able to watch it until it comes out on PPV or DVD.

LOL, well the three of us (me, metaloxide and keybladesheart) went to the 12:01 showing thursday night here in our town.

i have to say i felt soooo out of place. You have to understand, I am mostly very anti-mainstream and being in a theater full of fan-girls was like a jump back to high school or something. LOL (Twilight/Stephenie Meyer fan since 2005 right here! :hiya: )
It's bizarre seeing this story that I randomly found in a university bookstore the topic of every girl's mouth. Hehe...but onto the movie:
I have to say I was oddly pleased. Of course there were some scenes that were completely butchered and characteristics that didn't seem to quite fit as Meyer depicted....but I think I have to say I was content at the end. I personally think Kristen Stewart did a fantastic job of bringing Bella to life. I was iffy at first, but she really sank into the role and made her believable. Even Rob Pattinson had his moments...though i still think he makes an awkward looking edward---as did the guy who played Jasper. He's soooo odd!
    Spoiler:

Anyway....it was worth seeing, but there will always be scenes I wish they'd put in and things they'd taken out and not added. =D

no, this movie is (as I have said before) a waste of money, time, and effort. I despise Meyer for thinking of such an annoying and irrelivent series:pissed:. but, however, I do admire her for going so far with her series. I have heard of a 5th book coming out in june, but it will probably be another waste of everyones time. This book is just the latest "FAD" that's going around, and it will fade away in 6 months to 2 years. Sorry if I offended anyone :uhm: , I am just voicing my opinion. And if I had to suggest any author, it would be any work of Stephen King. this man is an amazing author, so try one of his books. And Kyo, I think The Host sounds like a good book Razz (I think I might read it) And besides, I LOVVVVVEE MANGA AND ANIME!! yay I am currently reading Rorouni Kenshin, and I am loving it. woot So look out for some of my Rorouni Kenshin sigs!!!!
