Yea, the same basic question asked in pretty much all forum categories. So name your poison.

I listen to a wide variety of tunage.. except country, jazz, blues, ghetto rap, and opera.

I prefer anything upbeat.. something that gets me moving. I love alternative.. if that is still the name of it ..more than any other genre. But I've been known to tune into some techno and rave, as well as grunge and easy listening.

I listen to anything.....instrumental versions of songs are really good....i currently listen to more Japanese songs or other Asian songs....anything upbeat and catchy is good for me...however..soothing works well on me too.....i hate really loud music.....or stuff that hurts your ears.....=/

I listen to J-pop, some techno, rock, alternative, emo, screamo, hardcore, post-hardcore, Metal, death metal, a little bit of hip hop, some dance tunes. I love music, its what keeps me moving when I can't move any longer.

Yeah geez, you americans spreading your country music. Lolz J/k will kind of. I'm sure elsewhere beside america and canada there is country music just probably no where near as popular.

Why does country music need to exist? Anyways..I love all music, except for country. I especially love any form of rock.

I like upbeat songs some japenese songs and I like Techno and Grunge now Country here in America I'd have to say it sucks im american and I say it sucks realy realy bad.

I also absolutely hate Emo, Metal, and Country. They sound , in my opinion, like (respectively) someone whining about their life, someone banging on things and screaming, and... I can't even describe with words how much I hate country music. I guess it sounds like PAIN to me...

yeah i know what you mean,i think thats why i mostly like listenin to music without(or almost without) vocals

Emo or screamo because they are two seperate genres(I like them both but they are very different) But if you don'tr like metal then its more likely you don't like screamo, but emo is more along the lines of a slower rock song that is more about melody and lyrics then pounding out the vocals

My favorite Genre would have to be Hip-hop/Rap. And then I would have to say Rock.......Pretty much anything except country

Well I listen to almost everything!But my faves are Uplifting Trance and Dance.love em!And I like country very much...jk but like I said I listen to eveything as long as the singer is singing and not screaming or killing music

I have no clue why I haven't seen this topic before today...

Anyway, I much like a lot of folks here I listen to about anything, just really depends on my mood, if I'm working out either Techno/rock/metal just something to keep me going. If I'm just chillin' at home relaxing with wine or a beer I can take in some Classical/Jazz/Blues or even just some solo Acoustic Guitar stuff. Opera is one of those ones that I can listen to just has to be really situational as to why I'm listening to Opera, there are not many cases where I will listen to Opera but some moments just require it

I started out listening to rock/metal so that's pretty much my main genre to listen to and that's generally what I play on guitar (even though as I have gotten older I have started to respect solo acoustic guitar playing so I have been working on that more) been playing for almost 13 years now
